What each app is built to do
BSS B2B Order, Request a Quote (by BSS Commerce) is a bundle. It combines a B2B order form, a quick order page, and a request-a-quote feature in one app. It has admin quote management and price negotiation, so a merchant can receive a request, adjust pricing, and reply. What it does not include is a sales pipeline or a CRM layer, and much of the app is aimed at the order-form and quick-order side of B2B rather than quoting alone.
ShopQuotes is narrower on purpose. It is a CRM for quotes: build a quote, track it, send it. The request-a-quote button and popup are the front door, but the product is really about what happens after the request lands.

The Live Quote page and checkout
With ShopQuotes, a quote is a live page the customer opens, accepts, and pays for through Shopify’s own checkout. Each request becomes a real Shopify draft order, so pricing, line items, and taxes stay inside Shopify rather than in a separate document. BSS handles quotes in the admin with negotiation, but the checkout-ready branded quote page is where ShopQuotes is doing something different.
Tracking and CRM
Because ShopQuotes treats quotes as a pipeline, every quote carries open, click, and conversion analytics. You can see which quotes were viewed and which converted, which is the part BSS does not cover since it has no pipeline or CRM.
Sending from your own domain
ShopQuotes lets quotes go out from your own email domain (Gmail, Outlook, SendGrid, Resend, or any SMTP), or by link or PDF. That keeps the quote in your brand’s name rather than a generic app sender.
When BSS may fit better
If your main need is a B2B order form plus quick order, and quoting is a secondary feature, the BSS bundle covers more of that order-entry ground in one app. ShopQuotes does not include a B2B order form or quick order page; it stays focused on quoting.
When ShopQuotes fits better
If you quote a lot and want to run quotes like a sales process (draft orders, a checkout-ready quote page, tracking, and sending from your own domain), ShopQuotes is built for that. Merchants like SaunaKits, Premium Saunas, K&B Audio, and PLG Automation use it for exactly this kind of B2B and made-to-order quoting.
ShopQuotes Launch is free (up to 5 Live Quotes, unlimited quote requests, convert to draft orders, analytics), with Grow at $19/mo and Scale at $49/mo. See pricing for the full breakdown, the best request-a-quote apps for Shopify comparison, or wholesale and B2B use cases.
