Shopify’s App Store lists a healthy field of request-a-quote apps, most of them built around the same core job: hide the price or the add-to-cart button, show a “Request a Quote” form, and email the request to the merchant. They differ mainly in reviews, rating, and price. Here is how the current field compares.
The apps side by side
| App | Reviews | Rating | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quote Snap (O/Q: Request a Quote) | 649 | 4.8 | Free / $16.99 / $36.99 / $96.99 |
| BSS B2B Order, Request a Quote | 164 | 4.9 | Free / $19 / $39 / $79 |
| SA Request a Quote, Hide Price | ~599 | 4.8 | Free / $16.99 / $36.99 / $96.99 |
| Globo: Request a Quote + Hide Price | ~308 | 4.9 | Free / $8.99 to $14.99 |
| S: Request a Quote (Storeify) | 115 | 5.0 | Free / $12.99 / $24.99 / $36.99 |
| Quotify | 94 | 4.8 | $17 / $34 / $700 lifetime |
| Madgic Quote & Hide Price | ~53 | 5.0 | Free / $9.99 |
| Add to Quote (Texvion) | 6 | 5.0 | $25 / $50 / $100 |
| ShopQuotes: Quote CRM (ShopTrade Labs) | 8+ | 5.0 | Free / $19 / $49 |
Review counts signal maturity, not fit. Quote Snap and SA have the largest install bases, while several newer apps (Storeify, Madgic, Texvion, ShopQuotes) hold 5.0 ratings on smaller samples.
How to choose
Sort by what happens after someone requests a quote, not just the form itself.
- You only need a form. If quoting is occasional and you are happy to reply by email and build the order by hand, a low-cost hide-price app like Globo or Madgic covers the basics.
- You quote often and want to track it. If quotes are a real sales channel (B2B, wholesale, made-to-order), you want the request to become an order you can send, track, and get paid on, not another email in your inbox.
- You care about branding and follow-up. Sending from your own domain, reusing templates, and seeing who opened a quote matter once you send more than a handful a month.
Watch the pricing shape too. Quotify’s top tier is a $700 lifetime plan; most others follow a free-to-mid-tier ladder. See our pricing page for how ShopQuotes lines up.
Where ShopQuotes fits
ShopQuotes is built as a CRM for quotes (build, track, send), not just an RFQ form. The request-a-quote button and popup install natively with no theme code, the same as the rest of the field. What changes is the back half of the workflow.
- Requests become real Shopify draft orders, so quoting stays inside the order flow you already use.
- Every quote is a branded Live Quote page the customer opens, accepts, and pays for through native Shopify checkout. No back-and-forth to collect payment.
- Quotes go out from your own email domain (Gmail, Outlook, SendGrid, Resend, or any SMTP), or by link or PDF.
- Open, click, and conversion analytics sit on every quote, so you know what to follow up on.
The free Launch plan covers up to 5 Live Quotes with unlimited quote requests, hide price, the form builder, draft-order conversion, and analytics. Grow ($19/mo) and Scale ($49/mo) add more Live Quotes, email sending, PDF quotes, a custom quote domain, Zapier, and branding removal. Every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial, is billed through Shopify in USD, and takes no commission on orders.
Merchants in saunas and wellness, audio and AV, industrial, and print (SaunaKits, Premium Saunas, K&B Audio, PLG Automation, Cards-X) run their quoting this way. See the industries we serve, read the full feature comparison, or view ShopQuotes on the Shopify App Store.
