Shopify Plus is Shopify’s enterprise subscription tier, sitting above the standard Basic, Shopify, and Advanced plans. It unlocks capabilities that lower plans do not have, including native B2B, checkout customization through Checkout Extensibility, higher API rate limits, more staff accounts, and Shopify Functions for custom backend logic. For B2B specifically, native company profiles and wholesale catalogs are Plus-only features.
What it includes
The headline additions on Plus are native B2B (company profiles, multiple buyers per company, payment terms, and per-company or per-catalog pricing), the ability to customize checkout with your own logic and UI, expanded API limits for high-volume operations, up to a larger set of staff accounts, and access to Shopify Functions and scripts. Plus also comes with tools like Launchpad and the Wholesale channel, plus multiple expansion stores under one contract.
Why it matters for B2B
If you sell wholesale, Plus is the plan where Shopify’s native B2B model actually lives. Company profiles, buyer roles, net payment terms, and catalog-based pricing all require it. On non-Plus plans you can still run B2B workflows, but you lean on apps and tags rather than first-party company records.
How it relates to quoting
Quoting sits on top of whichever plan you run. A B2B quoting tool takes a buyer request, turns it into a draft order, and lets the buyer accept and pay through Shopify checkout. That draft-order path works on standard plans too, so you do not need Plus just to send quotes. Plus matters when you want native company catalogs and custom checkout behavior alongside your quoting flow.
Pricing note
Plus is priced by contract, typically starting well above the standard plans, and is quoted per merchant rather than published as a flat monthly rate.
